String Orchestra / String Quartet

This Simple Symphony is entirely based on material from works which the composer wrote between the ages of nine and twelve. (The actual sources are given in footnotes to each movement.) Although the development ofthesethemes is in many places quite new, there are large stretches of the work which are taken bodily from the early pieces - save for the re-scoring for strings.

It is suitable for string quartets or string orchestras,beingscored for Violin I, Violin II, Viola, Cello and Double Bass.

이 단순 교향곡은 작곡가가 9세에서 12세 사이에 작곡한 작품들의 소재를 바탕으로 하고 있습니다. (실제 소재는 각 악장의 각주에 명시되어 있습니다.) 비록 주제의 발전 과정은 여러 부분에서 상당히 새롭지만, 현악기 편성을 위해 새롭게 편곡된 부분을 제외하면 초기 작품에서 상당 부분을 그대로 가져왔습니다.

이 곡은 현악 사중주 또는 현악 관현악단에 적합하며, 바이올린 1, 바이올린 2, 비올라, 첼로, 더블베이스로 구성되어 있습니다.
