Tico-Tico no Fuba is the Brazilian composer Zequinha de Abreu`s most popular work. At its first performance in 1917 the jumpy, fast-tempo of the number made the dancing couples go crazy in the ballroom! The music has been extensively used in films involving characters as diverse as Groucho Marx, Donald Duck and Woody Allen and Tico-Tico remains one of the best-known and most arranged of Latin American tunes.
