Glazunov Two Pieces from the ballet "Raymonda", aus Op.57 for Violin and Piano
Vladimir Pogoyev`s transcriptions for violin
and piano of two episodes from Alexander
Glasunov`s ballet `Raymonda` are among the
most famous `Raymonda` arrangements. The
composer Pogoyev (1872-1941) belonged to
the circle of musicians around the publisher
M.P. Belaieff and was personally acquainted
with Glasunov. The brilliant transcriptions of
the `Grand Adagio` and of the `Waltz` are intended for concert performances but can also be used in music lessons.
