Zgraja Walking Time for 4 Flutes
Johann Sebastian Bach`s Suite in B minor for
flute, strings and basso continuo is a very
popular work, not only among flutists. The
composer`s main aim when composing this
suite was to link the historic roots of the suite
with current trends, movements and shapes.
"Walking time" deliberately contains obvious
musical associations with Bach`s work and
therefore borrows passages from it. The suite
is an excellent opportunity for any flute
ensemble to reveal new facets within the
framework of a contemporary, individual
interpretation.
