Philippe Gaubert's Pièce Romantique is a beautifully sustained lyrical outpouring. It evolves from two themes: the cello's broad, exploratory opening melody is contrasted, about halfway through the piece, by a gently rocking tune in 6/8 time, in the pure high register of the flute. To close the work Gaubert combines the two, fortissimo, in an elegiac and particularly satisfying coda.

필립 고베르의 <Pièce Romantique>는 아름답고 서정적인 폭발로 가득합니다. 두 가지 주제에서 발전하는데, 첼로의 넓고 탐구적인 도입부는 곡의 중간쯤에서 플루트의 순수한 고음역대에서 6/8박자의 부드럽게 흔들리는 선율과 대조를 이룹니다. 고베르는 이 두 가지 주제를 결합하여 곡을 마무리하며, 포르티시모로 애수적이고 특히 만족스러운 코다를 선보입니다.
