A Real Discovery

Having sung Barber's setting of this poem for years, I didn't think any other version could be as moving...I was wrong. Lauridsen's treatment of the poem is gorgeous. The harmonies and vocal range are not difficult, but the piece requires very sensitive phrasing and a rich tonal quality... not suitable for non-auditioned choirs.


진정한 발견

수년간 바버가 이 시를 편곡한 버전을 불러왔지만, 다른 어떤 버전도 이토록 감동적일 수 없을 거라고 생각했어요... 제 생각이 틀렸어요. 로리드센이 이 시를 다루는 방식은 정말 아름답습니다. 화성과 음역대는 어렵지 않지만, 이 곡은 매우 섬세한 프레이징과 풍부한 음색을 요구합니다... 오디션을 보지 않은 합창단에게는 적합하지 않습니다.
