Rachmaninoff Symphonic Dances Op.45 for 2 Pianos 4 Hands

Rachmaninoff left the two piano version of the three-movement Symphonic Dances unfinished at his death. It was published as he left it. Now a new edition, with the involvement of Rachmaninoff expert Robert Threlfall, tidies some of the inconsistencies, improving the look and feel of the music.

For Two Pianos, Four Hands – Includes copies for each player Composed in 1940, the Symphonic Dances for orchestra are the last of Rachmaninoff's compositions. Rachmaninoff and Vladimir Horowitz reportedly performed this two-piano version in 1942. This edition corrects errors from the original edition.
