The combination of flute and guitar is becoming ever more popular among music school pupils and on concert stages. The not too extensive repertoire for this instrumental combination extends the publication to include arrangements of famous compositions among which are variations of the famous English Renaissance song Greensleeves , the famous melodies of Johann Sebastian Bach (Air, Siciliana, Badinerie), the popular Menuet Luigi Boccherini, Chopin`s virtuoso Variations on a theme by Rossini`s and Scott Joplin`s popular ragtime tune The Entertainer (made famous as the signature tune to the film The Sting ). So that these technically relatively demanding arrangements could be performed as much as possible, editor selected such compositions, which can be played without difficulty, on the flute as well as the oboe and violin.A
