Hailed by Tchaikovsky as "a colossal masterpiece of instrumentation", Rimsky-Korsakov`s Capriccio Espagnol has delighted audiences since its premiere in 1887.

The melodies used in the piece go back to themes sketched by the composer for a virtuoso work for solo violin and orchestra.

After changing his mind, Rimsky decided to make the work a display piece for the entire orchestra.

This arrangement features two sections of the original capriccio: the "Alborada" (morning serenade) in 2/4 and the "Fandango of the Asturias" (a dance traditionally played with guitar and castanet accompaniment) in 3/4.

Tastefully arranged by Richard Meyer, Rimsky`s flashy showpiece is now playable by the less-experienced orchestra.



차이코프스키가 "도구의 거대한 걸작"으로 환영 받으면서, 림 스키 코르사코프 (Rimsky-Korsakov)의 카프리시오 에스파뇰 (Capriccio Espagnol)은 1887 년에 초연 한 이래 관중을 기쁘게 해왔다.

작품에 사용 된 멜로디는 작곡가가 솔로 바이올린과 오케스트라를위한 거장 작품을 위해 스케치 한 주제로 돌아갑니다.

그의 마음을 바꾼 후 Rimsky는이 작품을 전체 오케스트라의 전시 작품으로 만들기로 결정했습니다.

이 배열은 원래 카프리시오의 2 개의 섹션을 특징으로합니다 : 2/4의 "Alborada"(아침 세레나데)와 3/4의 "Asturias의 Fandango"(기타와 castanet 반주로 전통적으로 연주되는 춤).
