Edward Elgar (1857-1934) completed these two companion works for violin and piano around 1890. Among Elgar's most popular melodies, the dreamy Chanson de nuit (Night Song) and more cheerful Chanson de Matin (Morning song), neither demand highly technical playing, permitting both songs to remain evergreen works in the violin repertoire.

에드워드 엘가(1857-1934)는 1890년경 바이올린과 피아노를 위한 이 두 작품을 완성했습니다. 엘가의 가장 인기 있는 멜로디 중 하나인 몽환적인 샹송 드 뉘(밤의 노래)와 보다 경쾌한 샹송 드 마탱(아침의 노래)은 모두 높은 기교를 요구하지 않아 두 곡 모두 바이올린 레퍼토리에서 늘 사랑받는 작품으로 남았습니다.
