A masterpiece

This double concerto is wonderful! Although I've never heard a recording of it that did it full justice.The first time I played the first solo cello with a small band, we were only two cellos wich meant that the continuo section was only one double bass and a harpsichord, wich actually turned out to work very well indeed! The second movement has only the solos plus continuo, so the violins and violas had nothing to do in it. But during rehearsals they wanted the four of us to play it over and over again because it's just so beautiful!


걸작

이 이중 협주곡은 정말 훌륭합니다! 이 곡을 완벽하게 재현한 녹음은 들어본 적이 없지만요. 제가 처음으로 소규모 밴드와 함께 첫 번째 첼로 독주를 연주했을 때, 첼로 두 대밖에 없어서 콘티누오 파트는 더블베이스 한 대와 하프시코드 한 대로 구성되었는데, 실제로 연주해 보니 아주 훌륭했습니다! 2악장은 독주와 콘티누오만 있어서 바이올린과 비올라는 전혀 관련이 없었습니다. 하지만 리허설 때 연주자들이 네 명에게 이 곡을 반복해서 연주해 달라고 했습니다. 곡이 너무 아름다웠기 때문이죠!
