Happy Present Meet
Strauss Also Sprach Zarathustra Op.30 (Miniature Score)
Most often recognized as the theme to 2001--A Space Odyssey, this monumental tone poem (based on Nietszche's work of the same name) is an epic of nine continuous sections. The work evolves as a musical survey of mankind, ranging from contemplative Gregorian chant movements to the burlesques of the cafes of Strauss' Germany.
The work is reproduced here from an authoritative edition, complete with bar-numbered movements for easy reference. Ideal for study in the classroom, at home, or in the concert hall, this affordable miniature-score edition includes "Zarathustra's Preamble" by Nietzsche.
